Job Description

Total Air Idaho is seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving abilities, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and a strong work ethic. You’ll be a key player in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our clients by providing exceptional service and resolving their HVAC needs effectively. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative measures on HVAC systems to optimize performance and longevity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, interacting professionally with clients and addressing their concerns promptly.
  • Accurately document work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure smooth workflow and optimal efficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • EPA certification (Universal or Type I/II)
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing various HVAC systems
  • Experience with different types of HVAC equipment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HVAC or related field
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems
  • NATE certification
  • Experience with smart thermostats and building automation systems
  • Strong customer communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
