Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to plumbing specifications and local codes.
- Perform diagnostic assessments to identify plumbing issues, providing clear explanations and solutions to clients.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems to prevent future problems.
- Repair or replace broken, leaking, or malfunctioning pipes and fixtures.
- Install and maintain water heaters, boilers, and other plumbing appliances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to water pressure, drain blockages, and leaks.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and building regulations.
- Prepare accurate estimates and invoices for services rendered.
- Maintain a clean and organised work vehicle and job site.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction with all plumbing services.
Required Skills
- Valid Red Seal Plumber qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Plumber.
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in using a variety of plumbing tools and equipment.
- Valid South African driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in specialized plumbing areas (e.g., gas installation, solar water heating, leak detection).
