Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with planting, cultivating, and harvesting various crops as directed by the farm manager.
- Operating and performing routine maintenance on farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, irrigation systems, and other tools.
- Carrying out irrigation tasks, monitoring water levels, and ensuring proper distribution to crops.
- Participating in livestock care, including feeding, watering, herd movement, and maintaining animal welfare standards (if applicable to the specific farm operation).
- Performing general farm maintenance, including fencing repairs, clearing land, weeding, and maintaining farm structures.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of produce, feed, and other farm supplies.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including sheds, barns, and communal areas.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions, crop issues, or safety concerns to the farm manager promptly.
- Working collaboratively with other farm staff to ensure smooth daily operations and achieving production targets.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of agricultural practices and crop cycles.
- Familiarity with operating basic farm machinery and hand tools.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English or Afrikaans.

Preferred Qualifications
