Job Description
River View Guest House is looking for a dedicated and reliable Handyman with basic skills to join our team. This vital role ensures the seamless operation and excellent presentation of our tranquil guest house. You will perform a variety of general maintenance and repair duties across the property, including guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces. We seek an individual with a solid understanding of fundamental repair techniques in basic plumbing, minor electrical work, general carpentry, and painting. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying issues, capable of working independently, and possess a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks and minor repairs across guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor facilities.
- Execute basic plumbing fixes, including leaky taps, unclogging drains, and maintaining water fixtures.
- Handle minor electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fuses, and addressing simple wiring issues safely.
- Undertake general carpentry duties, including repairing furniture, fixing doors and windows, and basic woodworking.
- Conduct painting, plastering, and touch-up work to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Assist with garden maintenance and ensuring outdoor areas are tidy and presentable.
- Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and address potential maintenance issues proactively.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, ensuring timely resolution.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing duties.
Required Skills
- Proven basic experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
- Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
