Job Description
York St John University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced University Lecturer in History to join our thriving History Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules. This includes designing and delivering lectures, seminars, tutorials, and workshops; marking and providing constructive feedback on student work; mentoring and supporting student learning; contributing to curriculum development and assessment strategies; and participating in departmental activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to actively engage in research and scholarship within their chosen area of historical expertise, potentially leading to publications and grant applications. A strong commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and research are essential qualities for this role. Key Responsibilities
