Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our team in Thohoyandou, Limpopo. As a Pharmacist at Clicks, you will play a crucial role in providing essential pharmaceutical services, expert advice, and exceptional customer care. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient dispensing of medication, ensuring patient safety, and adherence to all regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medication and provide comprehensive patient counseling on proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including stock control, ordering, and maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Ensure strict adherence to all pharmaceutical laws, ethical guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
- Provide professional advice and recommendations for over-the-counter medications and health supplements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and resolve any medication-related issues.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of all medical information.
- Actively participate in health promotion initiatives and chronic disease management programs.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy support staff, ensuring high standards of practice and service delivery.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (BPharm)
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Minimum 2 years of post-community service/internship experience as a Pharmacist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical dispensing software and general computer literacy
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a retail pharmacy setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a small team
- Fluency in local indigenous languages commonly spoken in Limpopo
