Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our busy and dynamic team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair tasks, working to high standards of quality and efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career within a reputable and well-established company. You will be working in a modern, well-equipped workshop alongside a supportive team of experienced technicians. The role involves diagnosing vehicle faults, carrying out repairs and servicing, using diagnostic equipment, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and repairing vehicle mechanical faults
  • Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
  • Using diagnostic equipment and tools effectively
  • Maintaining accurate records of work carried out
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Working effectively as part of a team
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment
  • Knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Experience working in a fast-paced automotive workshop
  • Experience with a range of vehicle makes and models
