Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physician specializing in General Practice to join our esteemed team at Dignity Health Medical Group in Roseville. As a General Practice Physician, you will be at the forefront of patient care, providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to individuals and families across all ages. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, conducting regular health screenings, and offering preventative care. We are looking for a physician who is passionate about building lasting patient relationships, committed to evidence-based medicine, and dedicated to delivering patient-centered care. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure seamless and holistic patient management. You will manage patient caseloads, interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide referrals to specialists when necessary. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Perform routine physical examinations, health screenings, and preventative care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe medications, vaccinations, and other treatments.
  • Refer patients to specialists as appropriate and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to all medical ethics, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Current, unrestricted California medical license.
  • DEA registration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred upon hire, required within 6 months).
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to serve our diverse patient population.
  • Prior experience working within an integrated healthcare system.
  • Experience with population health management and preventative care programs.
  • Experience supervising Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners.
