Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely, ensuring proper water temperatures and chemical levels.
- Manually wash pots, pans, delicate items, and other kitchen utensils as needed, following specific cleaning protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing station, including sinks, counters, floors, and equipment throughout the shift.
- Ensure all dishes, glassware, and cutlery are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, polished, and properly stored to prevent contamination.
- Assist with the unloading and stocking of deliveries, particularly kitchen supplies and dry goods, organizing them efficiently.
- Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen area regularly and wash bins to maintain hygiene standards.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines set by the company and local health regulations diligently.
- Support kitchen staff by assisting with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., peeling vegetables) when requested and as time permits.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to anticipate needs and maintain smooth operations.
- Perform other cleaning duties, general maintenance tasks, and ad-hoc support as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail for cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, frequently lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks involving bending, reaching, and pushing.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong, dedicated work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and hot water, adhering to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications

- Current Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain one upon hire and maintain validity).
