Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and caulking.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Ensure high-quality finishes, smooth textures, and clean lines on all projects.
• Protect surrounding areas and furnishings from paint splatters and damage.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project managers regarding project status and any issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials.
• Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols on job sites.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a residential and/or commercial painter.
• Proficiency in various painting techniques and methods (brush, roller, spray gun).
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and materials.
• Ability to mix and match paint colors accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality finish.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform painting tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites within the Irvine area.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and precautions.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Experience with specialized coatings or finishes.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
