Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, and tea beverages according to Arcade Coffee Roasters' recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting work environment, including the coffee bar, seating areas, and restrooms.
- Stock and replenish coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other supplies as needed.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Continuously learn about new coffee offerings, brewing techniques, and industry trends.
- Resolve customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new procedures and products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior barista or coffee shop experience (6+ months preferred).
- Experience with latte art.
- Knowledge of various coffee beans, origins, and brewing methods.
- Current Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Experience with POS systems.
