Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth material flow and timely order fulfillment.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, generate reports, and analyze operational performance.
- Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution as needed.
- Operate and oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role.
- Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or electronics distribution environment.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
