Flex Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic operations team in Santa Clara, California. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fast-paced warehouse facility, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety across all inbound and outbound logistics. You will be instrumental in managing inventory, coordinating staff, and optimizing processes to meet our stringent operational goals and customer demands. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and workflow processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth material flow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, generate reports, and analyze operational performance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Handle staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Operate and oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role.
  • Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or electronics distribution environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
