Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Relationship Manager to join our dynamic team in Thousand Oaks, California. This pivotal role is responsible for cultivating and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with our valued clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. As a Client Relationship Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, understanding their evolving financial needs, anticipating challenges, and proactively connecting them with appropriate financial solutions and services. You will work closely with our financial advisors to ensure a seamless client experience, from onboarding through ongoing portfolio management and beyond. This position requires exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of financial services, and a proactive approach to client engagement. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a dedicated portfolio of client relationships, acting as their primary point of contact for service, inquiries, and support.
- Proactively engage with clients to understand their evolving financial needs and identify opportunities for additional Ameriprise Financial services.
- Collaborate closely with financial advisors to ensure comprehensive client solutions and a coordinated service approach.
- Facilitate client onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and positive initial experience.
- Conduct regular client check-ins and review meetings (in-person, virtual, or phone) to maintain engagement and assess satisfaction.
- Address and resolve client concerns or issues promptly and effectively, escalating as necessary.
- Educate clients on product and service offerings, market trends, and general financial planning concepts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within the CRM system.
- Identify and implement strategies for client retention and referral generation.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, company policies, and best practices in client relationship management.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in client relationship management, account management, or a similar client-facing role within the financial services industry.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to client service.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- FINRA Series 7 and/or Series 66 (or equivalent) licenses.
- Experience working with financial planning software.
- Knowledge of investment products, insurance, and retirement planning.
- Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFP®).
