As a Cart Attendant, you are often the first and last point of contact for our customers, playing a crucial role in the overall store presentation and customer satisfaction. This vital position involves maintaining the availability of shopping carts, ensuring a clean and safe parking lot, and providing courteous assistance to shoppers. Key Responsibilities
- Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas, returning them to designated storage bays inside the store or vestibule.
- Ensure all shopping carts are clean, free of debris, and in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized parking lot, including picking up litter and emptying outdoor trash receptacles.
- Assist customers with carrying groceries to their vehicles upon request, providing friendly and helpful service.
- Be alert to potential safety hazards in the parking lot and report them to management promptly.
- Provide basic assistance and directions to customers as needed, demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Work collaboratively with other store team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Assist with other general store duties as assigned by store management, such as bagging groceries or light cleaning.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Punctual and dependable attendance.
