Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. This is a high-impact role requiring strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for delivering outstanding results. The role involves collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders, making strong communication and relationship-building skills essential. You will be responsible for managing project risks and issues, escalating as appropriate, while keeping the project on track. Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and manage issues effectively.
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders regularly.
- Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.
- Conduct project post-mortems to identify lessons learned and improve future projects.
- Proactively identify and address potential project roadblocks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in IT.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with risk management and issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification or equivalent.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience working in a global environment.
- Experience with software development lifecycles.
