Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, according to established standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish guest room supplies (e.g., toiletries, coffee, towels, stationery) to ensure guest comfort.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard surface floors, and dust furniture and fixtures with attention to detail.
- Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and common restrooms to uphold hotel appearance standards.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items found in rooms or public spaces promptly to appropriate departments.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and brand standards at all times.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries with professionalism, courtesy, and a friendly demeanor, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked housekeeping cart and storage areas.
- Assist with laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens and towels as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with front desk staff, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as an effective part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within established timeframes.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment, with an understanding of safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with a major hotel brand or a similar high-volume environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
