In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of our diverse projects, ranging from foundational slabs to intricate decorative concrete elements. You will work closely with our project managers and construction teams, contributing your expertise to every phase of concrete placement and finishing. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare concrete surfaces for pouring, including setting forms, checking grades, and ensuring proper base preparation.
  • Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and power screeds.
  • Operate power vibrators to consolidate concrete and remove air pockets.
  • Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power trowels, floats, and brooms to achieve specified textures and finishes.
  • Cut control joints into concrete surfaces to prevent cracking.
  • Apply curing compounds, sealants, and other protective treatments.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged concrete structures.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies on job sites.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Concrete Finisher.
  • Proficiency in operating various concrete finishing tools and equipment (e.g., power trowels, floats, screeds, vibrators).
  • Strong understanding of concrete properties, curing processes, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform strenuous tasks, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with decorative concrete techniques (stamping, staining, exposed aggregate).
  • Ability to lead a small team or mentor junior finishers.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as skid steers or forklifts for material handling.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
