Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck and other heavy equipment.
- Transport goods to and from specified destinations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure accurate and complete delivery paperwork (logs, manifests, bills of lading).
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage immediately.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication and documentation
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Physical ability to perform routine tasks such as climbing, lifting, bending, and securing loads
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience
- Experience with various types of trailers (e.g., dry van, refrigerated, flatbed)
- Hazmat endorsement (preferred, but not required for all routes)
