Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles (vans/trucks) to transport goods to various locations within the Goshen area.
- Efficiently load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Verify order accuracy with customers and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and routes, adjusting as needed due to traffic or other conditions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every interaction, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Strictly follow all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations.
- Process payments or returns as necessary, and handle delivery documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, store personnel, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Valid Indiana Class D Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with the Goshen, Indiana area.
