Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate existing IT systems and user needs to develop and implement new or modified systems.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to gather system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, configure, test, and implement new applications, databases, and system enhancements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for various hardware and software systems, resolving issues efficiently.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and training materials.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and management of IT projects from conception to completion.
- Monitor system performance, perform regular audits, and recommend improvements to ensure optimal functionality and security.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure effective utilization of IT systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to recommend innovative solutions for healthcare IT.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in system analysis and design methodologies.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking concepts, and database management systems (SQL).
- Experience with healthcare information systems (HIS) or electronic health records (EHR) is a significant plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
