Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions, helping locate products, and assisting with 'Just Walk Out' technology inquiries.
- Accurately and efficiently stock shelves, ensuring products are fresh, correctly priced, and appealingly displayed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment, including cleaning spills, tidying aisles, and managing waste.
- Monitor product freshness and expiration dates, rotating stock as needed to minimize waste.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving deliveries, verifying stock, and identifying potential shortages.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for age-restricted items or for troubleshooting customer accounts.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Act as an ambassador for Amazon Go/Fresh, educating customers on the unique shopping experience.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high operational standards.
- Adhere to all safety, health, and security guidelines.
- Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and store operations to continuously improve the shopping experience.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly throughout a shift.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a grocery or food service environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices.
- Proficiency in additional local Nigerian languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa).
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems or similar retail technology.
