Phillips 66 in Sulphur, Louisiana, is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shuttle Driver to join our dedicated team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of employees, contractors, and visitors within our operational sites and occasionally to designated local off-site locations. This position is vital for ensuring the smooth flow of personnel, supporting daily operations, and maintaining our stringent safety standards. You will operate company vehicles, adhere to established routes and schedules, and provide professional and courteous service to all passengers. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company shuttle vehicles (vans, small buses) on planned routes and schedules.
- Transport employees, contractors, and visitors to various locations within the plant complex and designated off-site areas.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate passenger logs and vehicle mileage records.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of the shuttle vehicle.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and site-specific regulations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including luggage or equipment if necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and passengers regarding schedules or delays.
- Respond to emergencies or incidents in accordance with company protocols.
- Represent Phillips 66 professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class D (chauffeur's) or higher Louisiana Driver's License.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (e.g., taxi, bus, shuttle, delivery driver).
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3-5 years.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to operate vehicles safely in varying weather conditions.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle safety checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving commercial passenger vehicles.
- Knowledge of the Sulphur/Lake Charles area roadways and industrial complexes.
