Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering a positive shopping experience.
- Train, coach, and mentor retail team members, fostering a productive and supportive work environment.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including register operations, daily reconciliation, and bank deposits.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, merchandising, and ensuring proper product rotation.
- Execute merchandising plans, promotional displays, and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations, including pharmacy privacy (HIPAA) where applicable.
- Open and close the store securely, including arming/disarming alarms and securing assets.
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, operational goals, and employee development initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers regarding store operations and customer needs.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency for point-of-sale systems and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a retail or service-oriented setting.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory management systems and merchandising strategies.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
