Job Description
DTE Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, and have a proven track record of success in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity threats. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. You will be responsible for contributing to the overall security posture of DTE Energy’s critical infrastructure and information systems. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting vulnerability assessments, security audits, incident response activities, and security awareness training. You will work closely with other IT teams and business units to ensure the implementation of appropriate security controls and best practices. This is a high-impact role that directly contributes to the security and resilience of our organization. The successful candidate will be a critical member of our team and will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the protection of our assets and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Analyze security logs and identify potential security incidents.
- Develop and implement security controls and best practices.
- Respond to security incidents and assist in remediation efforts.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and business units on security initiatives.
- Stay current on the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
- Document security procedures and processes.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools.
- Experience with incident response procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
- Experience with cloud security technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with security automation tools.
