Job Description
We are seeking an imaginative and experienced Interior Decorator to join our dynamic team in Palmer Woods, Detroit. As an Interior Decorator, you will be instrumental in all phases of the design process, from initial concept development to final installation. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client consultations to ascertain design preferences, project scope, and budget.

- Source and specify furniture, fixtures, lighting, textiles, artwork, and accessories from a diverse range of vendors.
- Prepare presentations for clients using mood boards, 3D renderings, and material samples.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and procurement processes from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless execution of design plans.
- Oversee installations, ensuring designs are implemented accurately and to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and best practices.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in residential interior decorating or design.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of color theory, spatial planning, and design principles.
