Key Responsibilities
- Feed and water poultry according to established schedules and procedures, ensuring nutritional requirements are met.
- Collect, sort, and package eggs daily, ensuring proper handling, quality control, and storage for market readiness.
- Clean and sanitize poultry coops, feeders, and watering systems regularly to maintain optimal hygiene standards and prevent disease.
- Monitor the health and behavior of the flock, promptly reporting any signs of illness, injury, or distress to supervisors.
- Assist with the movement, vaccination, and other health management tasks for poultry under supervision.
- Perform general farm maintenance, including minor repairs to facilities, landscaping, and efficient waste disposal.
- Operate and maintain basic farm equipment and tools safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual tasks, including lifting and carrying feed bags and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and adhere to strict safety, biosecurity, and hygiene protocols.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality, understanding the importance of consistent farm operations.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping, feed measurements, and inventory management.
