Job Description
The New Orleans Advocate seeks a talented and passionate Journalist to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of journalistic principles, excellent writing and reporting skills, and the ability to work effectively under deadline pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating compelling news stories, features, and investigative pieces covering a variety of topics relevant to the New Orleans area. This includes attending press conferences, conducting interviews, verifying information, and collaborating with editors and other team members to ensure accuracy and consistency. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and possess a keen eye for a good story. Experience with multimedia storytelling (photo/video) is a significant plus. We are seeking an individual who is not only a skilled journalist but also a team player who can contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
