RTL-Robinson Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Welding Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Yellowknife, NT. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented tradesperson to contribute to vital heavy civil construction and industrial projects across Northern Canada. As a Welding Fabricator, you will be crucial in the construction, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment, structural components, and various fabrications essential to our operations. You will work within our shop facilities and potentially on project sites, executing precise cuts, welds, and assemblies that meet rigorous quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout, sequence, and welding requirements.
- Cut, form, and fabricate metal components using various tools and machinery, including saws, shears, and presses.
- Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick (SMAW), on a variety of materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Fit and assemble components according to specifications, ensuring precise alignment and structural integrity.
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication techniques and material properties.
- Experience with various cutting tools (e.g., plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, grinders).
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Welder certification (Red Seal endorsement preferred).
- CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certifications.
- Experience in heavy civil construction, mining, or industrial fabrication environments.
- Forklift and overhead crane operator certification.
- Experience with specialty welding techniques or exotic materials.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
