Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission new irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, pivot, micro-irrigation) strictly according to design specifications and industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough routine maintenance, comprehensive inspections, and essential preventative servicing of existing irrigation systems to ensure longevity and efficiency.
- Diagnose and adeptly troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues prevalent in irrigation equipment, including pumps, valves, controllers, and intricate piping networks.
- Perform timely and effective repairs and replacements of faulty components to minimize system downtime and ensure unwavering reliability.
- Calibrate and precisely adjust irrigation systems for optimal water distribution and efficiency, tailored to specific crop requirements and prevailing soil conditions.
- Provide expert technical support and practical training to clients on the proper operation and fundamental maintenance of their newly installed or existing irrigation systems.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records of all installations, comprehensive maintenance activities, precise repairs, and current inventory of parts used.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies while conducting fieldwork and client site operations.
- Collaborate effectively with the sales and agronomy teams to accurately assess client needs and recommend the most appropriate and cost-effective irrigation solutions.
- Prepare clear and concise reports detailing work completed, materials utilized, and system performance evaluations.
Required Skills
- Proven practical experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various irrigation systems.
