Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, efficient, and customer-focused Full-Time Cashier to join our dedicated team at Spar Southbroom. Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment transactions, ensuring correct change is given and all sales are recorded.
- Greet customers warmly, engage in friendly conversation, and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Scan items carefully, apply discounts, and process returns or exchanges according to store policy.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked checkout area.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and providing information about store promotions.
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, reconciling any discrepancies.
- Assist with bagging groceries and help customers with carry-outs when necessary.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including those related to security, health, and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive working atmosphere.

- Basic mathematical skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
