Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors in all areas of the store, including sales aisles, storage areas, and common spaces.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms thoroughly, ensuring they are always hygienic, well-stocked with supplies, and presentable for both customers and staff.
- Dust and wipe down shelves, display units, windows, check-out counters, and other surfaces regularly to maintain a fresh and tidy appearance.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas, adhering to waste management and recycling policies.
- Clean staff break areas, offices, and changing rooms to ensure a comfortable and clean environment for employees.
- Maintain the cleanliness of store entrances and exits, ensuring they are free from litter and spills, creating a positive first impression.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained, stored correctly, and used safely and efficiently, reporting any malfunctions.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or broken equipment to the supervisor immediately to prevent accidents or further damage.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies at all times.
- Assist with spill clean-up promptly and efficiently to ensure customer and staff safety.
- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies inventory, reporting needs for replenishment in a timely manner.
