Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized or small-group tutoring sessions tailored to student needs.
- Provide targeted instruction in core subjects such as Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, English, and isiZulu.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to optimize learning outcomes.
- Help students develop effective study strategies, time management, and organizational skills.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with school staff and, where appropriate, parents/guardians regarding student progress and challenges.
- Prepare engaging and relevant learning materials and resources.
- Motivate students to achieve their academic goals and build self-confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student attendance, and performance.
- Adhere to the school's policies and procedures regarding student conduct and academic integrity.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to teach and explain complex concepts clearly and patiently to high school students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse learners.
- Strong knowledge base in at least two core high school subjects (e.g., Mathematics and Physical Sciences, or English and Life Sciences).
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and abilities.

- High level of responsibility, professionalism, and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in a relevant tertiary education program (e.g., Education, Science, Arts, Humanities).

- Familiarity with the South African CAPS curriculum for high school level.
- Experience working with high school-aged students from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in isiZulu is highly advantageous to effectively communicate with students and parents.
