Job Description
As a Landscape Architect at Ponderosa Landscape & Design, you will play a key role in shaping the future of outdoor spaces in Phoenix. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from initial concept to final construction documents. This includes collaborating with clients to understand their vision, conducting site analysis, developing creative design solutions, preparing detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, and overseeing the construction process to ensure the project’s successful completion. You will work closely with a team of talented designers, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing landscape projects. Our projects vary widely, ranging from residential and commercial developments to large-scale public spaces and community projects. Your design expertise will be essential in creating unique and functional landscapes that meet the needs of our clients and enhance the natural beauty of the environment. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and requirements.
- Conduct site analysis and develop creative design concepts.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Oversee construction process and ensure project quality.
- Prepare presentations and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Required Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant design software
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles and practices

Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license
- Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED certification
