Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and filter coffee, adhering to Father Coffee’s quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment, ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about coffee origins and preparation.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper till reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment, including the bar area, seating, and restrooms.
- Monitor and manage coffee bean and milk inventory, alerting management to reorder needs.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the café, including setup and breakdown of equipment.
- Educate customers on various coffee beans, roast profiles, and brewing methods.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer flow.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop.
- Proficient knowledge of espresso extraction and milk texturing techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 15 kg.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with specialty coffee roasting and brewing methods.
- Barista certification or relevant training from a recognized institution.
- Familiarity with various POS systems.
