Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LearnDash Developer to join our growing team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining high-quality LearnDash-based learning management systems (LMS). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom LearnDash solutions for our clients, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user experience. This role requires a deep understanding of LearnDash functionality, WordPress development, and best practices for online learning platforms. You will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver exceptional results. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the growth of a dynamic and innovative company. The role involves a blend of independent work and collaborative team efforts, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom LearnDash-based learning management systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and designers to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop and implement custom plugins and themes to extend LearnDash functionality.
- Integrate LearnDash with other platforms and systems, such as CRM and payment gateways.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to LearnDash and related technologies.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of developed solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest LearnDash features and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes.
Required Skills
- Expert-level knowledge of LearnDash LMS and its functionalities.
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with WordPress development and theme customization.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with other LMS platforms (Moodle, Moodle, etc.)
- Experience with various e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
