Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and skilled WordPress Designer to join our growing team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and developing visually appealing and user-friendly WordPress websites. This role requires a strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and best practices, as well as a keen eye for design and attention to detail. You will be responsible for collaborating with developers and marketing teams to create engaging and effective online experiences for our clients. This is a hybrid role, combining the benefits of both in-office collaboration and the flexibility of remote work. You will work closely with our design and development teams to ensure a seamless and collaborative workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and developing visually appealing and user-friendly WordPress websites
- Collaborating with developers and marketing teams to create engaging online experiences
- Implementing WordPress themes and plugins
- Optimizing website performance for speed and SEO
- Maintaining and updating existing WordPress websites
- Ensuring website accessibility and compliance with WCAG guidelines
- Creating and managing website content, including images and text
- Working closely with clients to understand their needs and goals
- Participating in design reviews and providing feedback
- Staying up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends and technologies
Required Skills
- Proficient in WordPress theme and plugin development
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Excellent design skills and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Preferred Qualifications
