Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual psychosocial assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for clients.
- Provide remote counselling, guidance, and support to individuals, families, and groups facing various social challenges.
- Facilitate access to relevant social services, government grants, and community resources through virtual channels.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of vulnerable populations, including children, youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
- Monitor client progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and prepare detailed reports, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and regulations.
- Participate in virtual team meetings, case conferences, and professional development training sessions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support, escalating cases as necessary.
- Educate communities on social issues and available services through virtual outreach and awareness campaigns.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience as a Social Worker.
- Proven ability to conduct psychosocial assessments and develop intervention plans.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication platforms and office productivity software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications
