Job Description
As a Remote Fencing Contractor with Senwes, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality fencing solutions to our agricultural clients across the Free State. This unique opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in fencing project management from anywhere, while coordinating effectively with on-site teams and subcontractors. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of fencing projects, from initial client consultation and design, through to material procurement, budget oversight, and final project sign-off. Your primary objective will be to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, adhering to agricultural best practices and client specifications.
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can seamlessly manage multiple projects concurrently. You will utilize various digital communication tools to connect with clients, suppliers, and installation teams, providing remote guidance and oversight. Your ability to interpret client needs, translate them into actionable project plans, and negotiate effectively with suppliers will be crucial. While the work model is remote, occasional site visits for critical project phases or complex problem-solving may be required, making strong independent work ethic and problem-solving skills essential. You will be instrumental in maintaining Senwes’ reputation for excellence in rural infrastructure, ensuring our fencing solutions are robust, durable, and meet the specific demands of the agricultural sector. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct remote consultations with agricultural clients to assess fencing needs, understand project scope, and provide expert recommendations for various fencing types (e.g., perimeter, livestock, game).
- Develop detailed project proposals, including material specifications, cost estimates, and timelines, for diverse agricultural fencing projects.
- Source and procure fencing materials from approved suppliers, negotiating competitive rates and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to project sites.
- Prepare and meticulously manage project budgets, tracking all expenses and ensuring financial targets and profitability are met.
- Identify, vet, and onboard qualified local subcontractors or internal teams for on-site installation, providing clear instructions and overseeing their work remotely.
- Monitor project progress through regular virtual check-ins, detailed photographic/video updates, and comprehensive reporting from on-site teams.
- Implement stringent quality control measures to ensure all installed fencing meets Senwes' high standards and exceeds client expectations.
- Manage all project documentation, contracts, and invoicing accurately and efficiently, maintaining thorough records.
- Proactively address and resolve any project-related issues or challenges promptly and effectively, minimizing disruptions and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and agricultural industry best practices.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular, transparent updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in fencing project management or agricultural infrastructure development.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote capacity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interaction.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and digital communication tools.
- In-depth technical knowledge of various fencing types, materials, and installation techniques relevant to the agricultural sector.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Valid driver's license for occasional site visits (if required).
Preferred Qualifications
