Key Responsibilities
- Design and create high-quality artisanal products (e.g., textiles, pottery, beadwork, carvings) in line with project briefs and quality standards.
- Utilize traditional craft techniques, ensuring authenticity and cultural integrity in every piece.
- Source and select appropriate raw materials, adhering to ethical and sustainable guidelines.
- Manage production timelines effectively to meet deadlines for orders and new product launches.
- Maintain detailed records of designs, materials used, and production processes.
- Collaborate virtually with the design and marketing teams, providing insights and receiving feedback.
- Conduct quality checks on all finished products to ensure they meet African Originals Co.'s specifications.
- Contribute to the development of new product lines, bringing innovative ideas while respecting traditional forms.
- Package finished products securely for shipping, following company guidelines.
