Are you a skilled Appliance Repair Technician looking for an opportunity to work autonomously while being a crucial part of a supportive team? Mthatha Appliance Repairs is seeking an experienced and dedicated Remote Appliance Repair Technician to serve our valued customers in Viedgesville and surrounding Eastern Cape areas. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual to manage their daily schedule from a home base, traveling directly to customer locations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of household and commercial appliances. From refrigerators, freezers, and ovens to washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, and microwaves, you will be the expert responsible for ensuring our clients’ appliances are running smoothly and efficiently.
This remote model requires excellent organizational skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with our central dispatch and customer service team. You will be equipped with the necessary diagnostic tools, receive ongoing training to stay ahead of industry advancements, and manage your inventory of common parts. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues for a variety of home and commercial appliances.
- Perform on-site repairs, replacements, and maintenance services for clients in the designated service area.
- Effectively communicate with customers to explain diagnoses, repair options, and estimated costs.
- Manage and maintain accurate service records, inventory of parts, and complete necessary documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building lasting relationships.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Continuously update knowledge of new appliance models, technologies, and repair techniques.
- Manage daily schedule efficiently, prioritizing urgent repairs and optimizing travel routes.
- Collect payments and process invoices accurately.
- Maintain company vehicle (if provided) or personal vehicle in good working condition.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in appliance repair and maintenance.

- Valid South African driver's license with a clean driving record.
