Keiskammahoek Spar is seeking a motivated Hybrid Street Vendor to join our dynamic team. This unique role blends on-site sales activities with essential off-site preparations and administrative tasks, offering a flexible yet structured work environment. As our Street Vendor, you will be the face of Keiskammahoek Spar in various outdoor settings, from bustling street corners to local markets and community events. You’ll be responsible for promoting and selling a curated selection of our freshest produce, baked goods, and specialty local products directly to the public.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct direct sales of fresh produce, baked goods, and other Spar specialty items in designated outdoor locations (street corners, markets, community events).
- Set up, maintain, and dismantle attractive and hygienic sales displays, ensuring product freshness and presentation standards.
- Actively engage with potential customers, providing detailed product information, answering questions, and promoting current offers.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper record-keeping.
- Manage daily inventory, including receiving stock, monitoring freshness, and ensuring proper storage both at the sales point and during off-site preparation.
- Conduct basic market research by gathering customer feedback on products and identifying new sales opportunities within the community.
- Complete daily sales reports, stock counts, and other administrative tasks (often performed remotely or from a central office/storage location).
- Assist with the preparation, packaging, and sorting of products for street sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the store management team to plan sales routes, promotional strategies, and product selections.
Required Skills
- Proven sales and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and inventory
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and carry items (up to 15kg), and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliability and strong work ethic
