Key Responsibilities
- Operate a personal, well-maintained vehicle safely and professionally to transport passengers to their desired destinations within Klipplaat and nearby localities.
- Manage and accept ride requests, bookings, and dispatch notifications primarily via a remote application or phone, ensuring timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with passengers, providing clear information regarding routes, estimated arrival times, and any potential delays, all through remote channels or in-person interactions.
- Maintain the highest standards of vehicle cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all South African traffic laws, road safety regulations, and Take Me Home Transfers' operational guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a comfortable, respectful, and pleasant experience for all passengers during their journey.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, whether through the remote system or accepted in-person methods.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical soundness and report any maintenance issues promptly through remote communication.
- Maintain accurate records of all trips, mileage, and earnings for independent contracting and reporting purposes.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all dispatch requests and customer inquiries received through remote communication channels.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Klipplaat's road network and surrounding areas to optimize routes, minimize travel time, and enhance passenger satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Valid South African Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for passenger transport.
- Minimum of 24 months (2 years) active driving experience.
- Ownership of a reliable, well-maintained vehicle (sedan, SUV, or similar) suitable for passenger transport, manufactured 2010 or newer.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents in the past 5 years.
- Excellent knowledge of Klipplaat and its immediate surrounding areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and at least one local language.
- Proficiency in using smartphone applications for navigation, dispatch, and communication.
- Strong customer-centric attitude with a steadfast commitment to service excellence.
- Exceptional punctuality, reliability, and time management skills.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to ensure day-to-day operational readiness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a taxi driver, ride-share driver, or professional chauffeur operating in the Eastern Cape.

- Possession of a valid First Aid certification.
- Completion of advanced defensive driving training.
- Multilingual abilities, particularly in Xhosa, Afrikaans, and English, to serve a diverse client base effectively.
