Key Responsibilities
- Verify and process prescriptions remotely, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
- Conduct medication therapy management reviews and patient consultations via secure virtual platforms.
- Provide comprehensive patient counselling on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and adherence.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records within the digital pharmacy system.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and facilitate continuity of care.
- Stay abreast of the latest pharmaceutical developments, regulations, and best practices.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns effectively and empathetically through digital communication channels.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance remote pharmacy service delivery.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of remote pharmacy protocols and services.
- Ensure strict adherence to all South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) guidelines and Clicks' internal policies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent.
- Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Minimum of 2 years post-community service experience as a Pharmacist.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and general computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient counselling abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tele-pharmacy or remote patient consultation platforms.
