Job Description
Are you a natural storyteller with an insatiable passion for the natural wonders and vibrant culture of the Garden Route? Garden Route Adventures is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our dynamic team, based in the picturesque coastal town of Herolds Bay, Western Cape. This unique Hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: the thrill of leading captivating excursions and the flexibility of managing administrative and planning tasks from a remote or office setting.
As a Tour Guide, you will be the face of Garden Route Adventures, responsible for curating and delivering exceptional tour experiences for individuals and groups exploring Herolds Bay and its surrounding areas. Your primary focus will be on leading engaging tours that highlight the unique charm, history, and ecological significance of the region – from scenic coastal drives and beach explorations to local historical sites, fynbos walks, and potentially even connecting with nearby attractions like the Oubaai Golf Course or Victoria Bay.
Beyond the immersive on-site experiences, this hybrid role will also involve crucial off-site responsibilities. You’ll dedicate time to meticulous tour planning, route optimization, safety protocol reviews, and personalized itinerary development, often working remotely to leverage digital resources and communicate with our operations team. Additionally, administrative duties such as post-tour reporting, feedback analysis, and continuous learning about new attractions or local developments will be an integral part of your weekly schedule, ensuring our offerings remain fresh and insightful.
