Job Description
Fidelity Services Group is seeking a highly vigilant and detail-oriented Remote Security Monitoring Agent to join our innovative team. This unique full-time position allows you to contribute significantly to our mission of ensuring safety and security from a remote home-based environment, specifically supporting our operations in the Bladgrond, Northern Cape region and beyond. As a Remote Security Monitoring Agent, you will be at the forefront of our advanced surveillance operations, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents across a diverse portfolio of client sites. This role is crucial for proactive threat identification and rapid incident management, demanding keen observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to act swiftly under pressure. You will be responsible for continuous monitoring of CCTV feeds, alarm systems, and other security sensors, ensuring the integrity and safety of properties. Your work directly contributes to preventing losses, deterring criminal activity, and coordinating effective responses with on-site personnel or emergency services. This is not a conventional guarding role; rather, it’s a critical operational position requiring technical aptitude, excellent communication, and a strong sense of responsibility to safeguard assets remotely. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous real-time monitoring of CCTV, alarm systems, and other security technologies across multiple client sites.
- Proactively identify and assess security threats, suspicious activities, and potential breaches.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarm activations and security events, following established protocols.
- Accurately document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports.
- Coordinate effectively with on-site security personnel, armed response teams, and emergency services during incidents.
- Utilize advanced monitoring software and communication tools to manage and escalate events.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information and operational procedures.
- Provide clear and concise communication to relevant stakeholders regarding security situations.
- Participate in regular training and development to stay updated on new security technologies and protocols.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of remote monitoring strategies and incident response plans.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a security control room, surveillance, or related remote monitoring role.
- Strong understanding of CCTV systems, alarm monitoring, and access control technologies.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and security software.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of vigilance in a remote setting.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated quiet workspace suitable for remote monitoring operations.
- PSIRA Grade B or A registration (or equivalent) is highly advantageous.

- National Diploma or Certificate in Security Management or a related field.

- First Aid and Firefighting certification.
