Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns (social media, email) specifically targeting Rietpoort's tourism offerings.
- Create compelling content, including written articles, blog posts, high-quality photos, and videos, showcasing Rietpoort's unique attractions and experiences.
- Manage and grow Rietpoort-focused social media channels, engaging with followers and actively promoting local events and initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences, emerging tourism trends, and competitive landscapes relevant to Rietpoort.
- Assist in organizing and promoting local tourism events, festivals, and community initiatives in Rietpoort, ensuring maximum visibility and participation.
- Collaborate closely with local businesses, community leaders, and tourism stakeholders to develop joint marketing efforts and foster strong partnerships.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics tools, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Update and maintain website content related to Rietpoort tourism, ensuring accuracy and engaging presentation.
- Support the broader Naries Namakwa Retreat marketing team as needed, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with overall objectives.

Required Skills
- Proven experience (1+ year) in marketing, preferably within the tourism or hospitality sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in social media management platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite).
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) for creating visually appealing marketing materials.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive as part of a hybrid team.
- Foundational knowledge of digital marketing best practices (SEO basics, email marketing principles).
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within the Rietpoort area for on-site duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Tourism, Communications, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with the Rietpoort community, its cultural heritage, and the surrounding Namaqua region.
