Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of hairdressing services, including cutting, styling, blow-drying, colouring (highlights, lowlights, balayage, full colour), perming, and treatments.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their needs, preferences, and hair health, providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation and salon area in accordance with Sorbet's high standards.
- Promote and sell hair care products, providing clients with professional advice on home care routines.
- Build and maintain a loyal client base through exceptional service and personalized attention.
- Manage client appointments and maintain accurate client records, potentially utilizing remote administrative tools for this purpose.
- Actively participate in salon team meetings, training sessions, and promotional activities.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and product innovations, with dedicated time for remote learning or research.
- Handle client inquiries and feedback professionally and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience.
Required Skills
- Valid Hairdressing qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years (36 months) of proven professional hairdressing experience.
- Demonstrable expertise in a wide range of cutting, styling, and colouring techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong client-centric approach.
- Proficiency in salon hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A portfolio showcasing previous work (preferred, but not mandatory for initial application).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certifications in specific colouring techniques (e.g., master colourist).
- Experience with premium hair care brands and product lines.
- Proven track record in client retention and product sales.
