Job Description
Assmang (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional to contribute significantly to our people strategy while working entirely remotely. As an HR Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth HR operations, and fostering a positive and productive remote work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles, including drafting job descriptions, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and facilitating onboarding for remote hires.
- Provide advice and support to employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and labour legislation (e.g., LRA, BCEA, EE Act).
- Administer employee benefits programs, leave management, and other HR-related administrative tasks.
- Assist in managing employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and identify trends.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing employee engagement and well-being in a remote setting.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience as an HR Officer or similar role.
- Solid understanding of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
- Proven experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively in a remote environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and active listening skills.
