Job Description
As an Onboarding Specialist at The Home Depot, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new hires. You will be responsible for managing the entire onboarding process, from pre-employment paperwork to the completion of initial training and integration into the team. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll collaborate with various departments, including HR, IT, and management, to coordinate onboarding activities and ensure a positive first impression for all new employees. This role will be fully remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain onboarding materials and processes.
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings and paperwork.
- Manage the new hire orientation program, including scheduling and facilitation.
- Provide administrative support throughout the onboarding process.
- Track and monitor onboarding progress, ensuring timely completion of all requirements.
- Partner with HR and IT to ensure access to necessary systems and resources.
- Address onboarding-related inquiries and provide support to new hires.
- Gather feedback from new hires and identify areas for improvement in the onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to onboarding activities.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of onboarding strategies and best practices.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
