Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Casino Dealer to join our dynamic gaming team at The Caledon Casino, Hotel & Spa. As a Casino Dealer, you will be the face of our gaming floor, responsible for creating an exciting and fair gaming atmosphere for our guests. You will expertly handle a variety of table games, including Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, and others, ensuring all game rules and procedures are followed meticulously. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Expertly deal various table games, including Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, and other assigned games, ensuring accuracy and adherence to house rules.
- Maintain game integrity and security by closely monitoring play, identifying suspicious activity, and promptly reporting irregularities to supervisors.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner, ensuring a positive and exciting gaming experience.
- Handle cash, chips, and cards accurately and efficiently, reconciling transactions at the end of each shift.
- Explain game rules and procedures clearly to guests who may be unfamiliar with specific games.
- Manage disputes or disagreements at the table with diplomacy and in accordance with company policy.
- Work collaboratively with pit supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient gaming floor operations.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies regarding responsible gaming and customer service.
- Assist in the training and mentorship of junior dealers as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised gaming area.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Casino Dealer in a reputable casino environment.
- Proficiency in dealing at least two major casino games (e.g., Blackjack, Roulette, Poker).
- Excellent numerical aptitude and mental math skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- A recognized Dealing Certificate from a reputable gaming academy.
- Experience with electronic gaming systems and casino management software.
- Knowledge of other casino games beyond the core offerings.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve customer issues effectively and courteously.
- Previous experience working within a large hospitality or entertainment group.
